We bring the industry standard for environmental inspections to your home.
Healthy Indoor Technologies performs a comprehensive assessment for moisture and mold, sampling of air for mold or other contaminants, topical sampling for mold & solves moisture intrusion problems. Our inspections are thorough and meticulous, so we don't overlook any potential hazards. The entire property is inspected beginning with the lot situation to stormwater flow. Areas of possible water intrusion into the home are identified. The basement or crawl space areas are inspected to detect mold, moisture intrusion, moisture content in materials and overall condition.
On the main floor, walls, ceilings and floors are tested for moisture content on the surface and below. Special attention is given to HVAC systems, air ducting, bathroom(s), kitchen & utility rooms, plumbing and venting.
The attic structure is inspected for mold & moisture. Insulation and ventilation are evaluated in the inspection. Bathroom and kitchen vent fans are checked for proper ducting and exhausting to the outdoors.
In recent years, a growing body of scientific evidence has indicated the air people breathe inside their homes can be more seriously polluted with dangerous toxins than outdoor air in even the largest and most industrialized cities. The growing awareness of this issue is causing indoor air pollution to become a national health concern.
The issue is important because most people spend about 90% of their time indoors. Other people, such as the elderly and infirm, may spend all of their time indoors. The matter is serious when you consider that toxin levels in indoor air can be higher than what is permitted by federal regulations in outdoor air. This was the case in nearly all homes examined in a study of this subject.
An inspection identifies places in the home that are contaminated & reveals moisture problems for potential hidden contaminants.
